Describes characteristics, replications, and role of viruses in life

Indicator to Achieve the Competence
1.    Understanding HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) as one of virus which have negative role in human life
2.    Understanding characteristics of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) which is cause AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndroms)
3.    Identify the effect of HIV/AIDS for human living from one case in Indonesia
4.    Identify how to prevent AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndroms) which is caused by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) from one case in Indonesia

Learning Objectives
1.      Student are able to understanding HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) as one of virus which have negative role in human life
2.      Student are able to understanding characteristics of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) which is cause AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndroms)
3.      Student are able to identify the effect of HIV/AIDS for human living from one case in Indonesia
4.      Student are able to identify how to prevent AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndroms) which is caused by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) from one case in Indonesia

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) As One Of Virus Which Is
Have Negative Role In Human Life
Most viruses are diadvantageous because they cause diseases in humans, animals, and plants. One of viruses which are causing human disease is Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
Characteristics of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) :

Effect Of  HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) if Infect in Human :
Because the target of this virus is in white blood creel (leucoytes) especially in T cell and macrophages that have role in immun system, the effect of this virus infection is immunity deficience (decrease in competence of fight the allergen or disease). The condition of body that have many disease because of immmunity deficience it call AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndroms). This diseases show the degree of HIV infection process.
Strategy to Prevent AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndroms) :
To prevent this HIV/AIDS we can do ABCD strategy.
1.        Shape of HIV is sphere with envelope to package the capsid
2.        HIV included in retrovirus that have competence to have reverse replication
3.        HIV have RNA as genetic materials
4.        Have nucleoid which cilindris shape and viron
5.        Target of HIV is white blood cell (leucocytes) that is T cell and macrophage
A is a Abstinence, free sex before married
B is Be faithful, be faithfull to husband/wife
C is Consistently use condom
D is Don’t inject
Other prevention we can have fast, sublimation : do routine sport, give information to society, and health education.

1.    Students make 2 group (each groups consists of 3-4 students)
2.    Teacher give article about case of HIV/AIDS in Indonesia to each group
3.    Each group discuss the article to identify the charateristics of HIV, effect of HIV/AIDS in human life, and how to prevent or treat HIV/AIDS
4.    One group present their discussion result and other group can completing

1.    Teacher make conclusion from discussions result
2.    Teacher evaluate with give question about HI/AIDS problems in Indonesia
3.    Giving assignment, each group of student asked to make poster about HIV/AIDS to motivate prevention the spread of HIV/AIDS
